News 2018 - Mutualization of municipal police services
An agreement for the mutualisation of municipal police was signed in Pézilla between the 3 communes of Baixas, Villeneuve and Pézilla in December. You will find below in extenso the statement of the city council of Baixas: "The municipalities of Baixas, Villeneuve-la-Rivière and Pézilla-la-Rivière wished to pool their staff of municipal police, in order to
strengthen the security of citizens throughout their territory.
Several occasional pooling experiments were conducted during the summer of 2017, during the large gatherings generating a large influx of population (National Day and village festival).
Strong of these experiences, particularly appreciated by the inhabitants, Gilles FOXONET, Mayor of Baixas, Patrick PASCAL, Mayor of Villeneuve-la-Rivière and Jean-Paul BILLES, Mayor of Pézilla-la-Rivière decided to perpetuate this device. It was at the end of December in Pézilla-la-Rivière that the agreement of mutualisation of municipal police officers of the 3 communes was signed.
